The real meaning of UX.

UX, short for User eXperience has suddenly come to the forefront of the technology driven startup era.

Everybody is talking about providing the best interface possible to make any user’s journey on their platform as friction-free as possible.

But what exactly does UX comprise of? Is it the improvement of visual appeal, the increase in page load speeds or slick animations?

I like to characterise UX Design as a process encompassing more than just design and development. Here are my 5 steps to building a great product with impressive user experience:

  1. Understand the market
  2. Create a user flow chart
  3. Visualise the experience
  4. Analyse public reception of features.
  5. Innovate continuously.

This cycle if followed in order can lead to a highly refined product which pioneers in user experience.

During my career, I've led and built multiple projects from scratch. Over time I have helped migrate multiple portals from DC to Cloud making use of a decentralised architecture.
